The Survey Initiative

We kindly request that every resident, whether planning to stay or evacuate, takes a moment to fill out the hurricane preparedness form. Your input is vital in guiding rescue efforts within your community. You have the option to either share your information publicly or only with rescue organizations. Consider referring to the checklist provided below; it can assist you in completing your form response effectively.  

To find nearby individuals in need of assistance, access the spreadsheet and use Ctrl+F to search by zip code or street name.

All information is sourced from the Food and Drug Administration, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, and the Center for Disease Control.

 

  1. Water: One gallon per person per day for at least three days. This includes

  2. Food: A three days supply. Don't forget a can opener for canned goods.

  3. Pets: A week's supply of their water, food, and medication.

  4. Prescribed Medicine: A supply that lasts for at least a week. Consider a cooler and ice if refrigeration is necessary.

  5. Medical Electronic Devices: Have a generator or batteries on hand in case of a power outage. Test the backup power source to ensure it functions properly.

  6. First aid kit: bandages, alcohol

  7. Flashlight with batteries

  8. Hand sanitizer

  9. Toilet paper

 

Tips:

  • An easy way to get water is to fill buckets, or other containers around the house, with tap water.

  • Keep the necessities up high in the case of flooding.

  • Do not drink tap water following a storm.

  • Fill a bathtub with water, for it can be used to flush the toilets.
